Ah, cancer. Probably the most widely known and widely researched human illness. What you might not know is that cancer isn’t just one disease, but the name given to a collection of related diseases. The one trait that each of these diseases share is that they cause the body’s cells to divide rapidly while spreading to different tissues around the body.
Cancer researchers estimated that, in the U.S., close to 600,000 people would die from a type of cancer, and close to 1.7 million new cases of cancer would be diagnosed, by the end of last year.
Oftentimes, one of the only ways to treat a cancerous disease is through the use of radiation treatments, like chemotherapy. These radiation treatments leave patients riddled with side effects like hair loss, fatigue, anemia, nausea, diarrhea, weight changes, fertility problems and more. So, as one might imagine, if you can avoid using radiation to kill the cells, you definitely want to go in that direction.

Health experts like to look at the diets of those who have become sick. They recommend cutting sugar and processed foods out of your diet for good, while suggesting eating more raw foods.
The carrot is one raw food that is getting a lot of attention in the realm of cancer treatment. One woman turned to carrots after her cancer situation got worse. During a surgery for stage three colon cancer, doctors discovered from a CAT scan that stage 4 colon cancer had metastasized to her lungs.
Ann Cameron was asked to start chemotherapy by her doctors, but knowing how miserable and dangerous it was going to be, decided to save it as a last resort. Ann decided to start a daily regimen of carrot juice instead, and it yielded amazing results. After drinking a quart of freshly squeezed carrot juice every day for eight weeks, her next CAT scan showed that her tumors were becoming smaller.
She continued to stave off chemotherapy while simultaneously maintaining her carrot juice regimen. Ann was consuming up to five pounds of carrots a day. Further CT scans showed no new growth of tumors and increased shrinkage, and a final CT scan showed that the cancer was gone completely.
Ann says that her recovery was thanks to not just the carrot juice, however. She was in good health when she was diagnosed and had the overwhelmingly positive energy of her friends and loved ones.
